Urban Ecosystem-based Adoption for Climate Resilience (UEbA) is an essential component of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority (KVDA) initiative. UEbA has established a robust Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) to facilitate the reception and resolution of complaints arising from UEbA activities. This mechanism allows any party affected by these activities to submit a complaint, and even permits representatives to file complaints on behalf of affected parties, provided that the representative can demonstrate the requisite authority.

The primary objective of the GRM is to ensure the timely and effective resolution of complaints, fostering improved mutual understanding between the involved parties. Oversight of the Grievance Redress Mechanism process is undertaken by a dedicated team within the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing accountability, transparency, and community engagement in the pursuit of climate resilience through UEbA in Kathmandu Valley.
