Personal Accident Insurance

A personal accident insurance policy offers protection against death, permanent total or partial disability, and temporary disability due to an accident. In case of death or permanent disability, the insurer pays the sum insured, and the policy terminates. For partial disability, a percentage of the sum insured is paid based on the severity, and weekly compensation is provided for temporary total disability.

This policy serves as an income protection plan, with your profession and income determining your maximum cover and premium rates.

Types of Personal Accident Insurance:

A) Individual Personal Accident Insurance:
This policy covers individuals against uninvited accidents, including accidental death, loss of sight or limbs, or other permanent disabilities.

B) Group Personal Accident Insurance:
This policy applies to a group of people with a commonality, such as employment type or location. Employers typically use it to provide coverage for their employees, and discounts on premiums may be available depending on the group size.
