Chairman-cum-Managing Director

Smt. Rajeshwari Singh Muni, DIN 09794972 has taken charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Insurance Company Limited on 1st September 2023. Prior to taking charge as CMD, she was General Manager & Director of United India Insurance Company Limited w.e.f. 18th November 2022. She is a Science Graduate and also holds MBA (HR and Finance) and Associate from Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

She commenced her career at General Insurance Corporation of India in the year 1987 and moved to Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AICL) in 2004. She has 35 years of experience and expertise in dealing Crop Insurance in various capacities. A long part of which was heading the agriculturally predominant States of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh as Regional Manager and also overseeing of all the five Southern States as Deputy General Manager. Upon elevation as General Manager in the year 2019, she handled various portfolios at AICL, Head Office at New Delhi and performed exceedingly well in all spheres.

She is a keen learner coupled with traits of sincerity, honesty, dedication, commitment which have been the key to her success in reaching the heights. Her strength is her straight forward way in dealing with various stakeholders and has created a remarkable impact. She is a great leader, true motivator and role model for all the team members working under her commanded tremendous respect for her empathic attitude and humane touch with team members.

Government Nominee Director

Shri Mukesh Kumar Bansal, DIN 03359724 has joined the Board of National Insurance Company Limited as a Government Nominee Director on 2nd May 2023. He is an officer of Indian Administrative Service (2005 batch). Shri Bansal is presently working as a Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Shri Bansal is a Commerce graduate from Punjabi University and an Economics Post Graduate from IGNOU. He also has an MBA from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. Prior to his posting as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services in October, 2022, he was working as the Private Secretary to Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India from March 2020 to October 2022.

In a career spanning around eighteen year in the IAS, Shri Bansal has held various key positions in his Cadre State of Chattisgarh. He has worked as CEO, Zila Panchayat, North Bastar Kanker and Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Bilaspur. He has also worked as the Collector & District Magistrate in three districts of Kabirdham, Raigarh and Rajnandgaon from 2011 to 2017. He was the Special Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh from 2017 to 2018 and also held additional charge of CEO, Naya Raipur Development Authority at that time. He has also done brief stints in various Departments of Agriculture, Tribal Development and Rural Industries in the State Government as a Special Secretary.

Presently, in addition to National Insurance, he is also on the Board of Bank of Baroda, IFCI Limited, National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Limited and Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Limited (MUDRA). He is also on the Board of National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune, and a Member of the Council of the Institute of Actuaries of India and the Council for Insurance Ombudsmen.

General Manager & Director

Smt. Geetha Santhaseelan, DIN 09100673, joined National Insurance Company Limited as General Manager & Director on 21st November 2022. She is MBA in Marketing & Finance and Fellow Member of The Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai. She started her career with The Oriental Insurance Company Limited as an Assistant Administrative Officer in July, 1986. She is having 36 years of rich experience in varied capacities at Operating Offices and Regional Offices in various places in the country including as Regional Manager in Mumbai Regional Office-III. On promotion as Deputy General Manager in the year 2017, she was posted in Oriental Insurance Head Office at New Delhi. Further in the year 2019, she was posted to Chennai Regional Office as Regional In-charge.

Smt. Santhaseelan was promoted to General Manager and has taken charge on 27th July 2020 at Oriental Insurance Head Office at New Delhi. She has in-depth knowledge of Fire, Engineering, Marine Cargo & Hull, Motor Third Party, Miscellaneous, Health, Rural, Crop Insurance, Customer Grievances etc. She has been relieved from Oriental Insurance at the close of office hours on 18th November 2022.

Part time Non - Official Director

Shri Satya Brata Dass, DIN 09448325, joined the Board of National Insurance Company Limited as Independent Director on 21st December 2021. He is a Chartered Accountant having immense exposure in various fields such as Agriculture, rural economy, banking, co-operation, economics, finance, law, marketing, small scale industry and information technology.

Shri Dass worked as a Team Leader in Multi National Company as Practicing Chartered Accountant since 2006 having Head Office at Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Island. A Chartered Accountant by profession with around 18 years of successful practice with clientele of various lines of business including assignments given by C&AG. The Firm has been assigned with the task of Andaman Nicobar Administration for Audit of various Ministerial Fund of the Government of India. The Firm is located at isolated Remote Island which is trying hard to educate & guild clients to growth path.

Presently, he is serving as a Partner of M/s. Satya Sudhindran & Co., Chartered Accountant at Port Blair, South Andaman.
